Nicola Rossi is Head of Innovation at Global Power Generation Division in Enel. His responsibilities include identifying and ensuring implementation of innovation projects at global level in the areas of diagnostic and digital technologies (e.g. Internet of Things and Big Data), safety, emission control and water management, efficiency, flexibility and reliability of power plants, energy storage solutions utility scale, integrated in power plant or stand alone system. On October 2000 he joined Enel, where he started working as a process engineer and managed several international projects on thermal and renewables generation systems. His expertise covers combustion technologies, materials for high efficiency generation systems, gas turbines, biomass generation systems, geothermal power systems, solar power systems, power plant monitoring and diagnostic, automation and robotics, digital and industrial IoT.
